Altitude Test Chamber

Overview

CME’s AT series of altitude test chambers are used to test aerospace/aeronautical components where pressure plays a significant role along with temperature and humidity. A standard AT chamber could simulate environmental conditions of up to 50 Km (above sea level) in its test space.

Built with galvanised steel and the touch of epoxy based powder coating, the structure is rigid enough to withstand extreme testing conditions. The test space is made of 10 mm stainless steel (grade AISI-304), which is TIG welded and reinforced to withstand the pressure changes. It also has adjustable shelves and an entry port to conduct live testing on the specimen. TEFC motor with vacuum feedthrough sealing is used with an axial flow fan to maintain a smooth laminar air flow across the test space. To avoid condensation during low temperature cycles, heaters are provided along with dual silicone extruded gaskets in the test space frame.

As rightly quoted “Good engineering is a perquisite for reliability”, a lot of detailing has gone in both the system designing and the component selection of the AT series. Be it in refrigeration system comprising the semi hermetically sealed reciprocating compressor, high efficiency evaporator unit, in-built water-cooled condenser, on-Demand cooling, et all. are all carefully designed to offer the best reliability to the customer. The chamber offer altitude ranges of up to 10 mbar, temperature range of -70 0C to 180 oC and time to vacuum of less of 30 min.

AT series is equipped with the “Envicom Graphite series” controller, offering the benefits similar to the other chambers, the thermal shock chamber also has the Envicom Graphite Series controller which is touch enabled and bundled with miltiple features to augment the testing experience. The ports of Ethernet, RS 232 and RS 485 ensure remote monitoring of the chamber as well as integration with 3rd party software such as NI/Lab view. The Altitude chamber is ideal for testing component sor products from the Aerospace/Aeronautical industry where not only temperature & humidity but also pressure plays an important role.  Based on demand, CME offers chambers with simulation of only temperature & pressure as well as the combination of temperature, humidity and pressure commonly known as CATH chamber.

Yes, you can conduct live testing in the Altitude Chamber. For this purpose, we will provide you entry ports on the side of the test space.

The heat transfer from the specimen will not affect the test space temperature. However, customers must share such details of the specimen during technical discussion with CME to consider it while designing the chamber.

Yes, it is possible. We have designed and manufactured such Altitude Chambers with Vibration Integration for our customers.

The chamber is equipped with an Ethernet port, which once connected enables remote access of the chamber from any part of the world through an IP address.

The support engineers from CME will install the chambers and will train you to operate the chamber.

The Altitude Chamber comes with levelling casters, which is made of high quality ABS resin and offer hassle-free mobility.

Definitely, our climatic chamber is covered under warranty, which is valid for 14 months from the date of supply or 12 months from the date of installations.
